Kim Ng\u2019s solo exhibition at Wei Ling Gallery in Brickfields ends on Friday. \u2014 Picture. by S.Sugumaran<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

KUALA LUMPUR: Artist Kim Ng is presenting his fifth solo exhibition at Wei Ling Gallery in Brickfields.<\/p>\n

Kim\u2019s works show references of to his childhood and the time he spent growing up in a small town.<\/p><\/div>\n

In the exhibition titled “An Idyllic Space”, Ng’s works refer to his childhood and the time he spent growing up in a small town.<\/p>\n

His works also show his interpretation of the sights and sounds of the cities he has visited around the world.<\/p>\n

“I have always been interested in places where the buildings and houses are structured systematically and I like the unique street names that I have come across.”
\nHe uses a stencil technique and finished paint, and some of the artwork are made from materials like bitumen, charcoal and silk screen.<\/p>\n

He has a master’s in design and media art from the University of Westminster, London.<\/p>\n

The exhibition ends on Friday.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wei-Ling Gallery is open from Monday to Friday (noon to 7pm) and Saturday (10am to 5pm).
